There are other things that you can do, more natural alternatives. Melatonin is a natural hormone which regulates the body clock, slow release melatonin was found to be a safe and effective treatment for more elderly sufferers.

L-tryptophan which is found in chocolate, oats, turkey and peanuts can also help to improve sleep quality. 5HTP a related compound, is also a promising treatment.

You coiud have low magnesium levels, especially if you suffer from restless leg syndrome. Vitamin B12 levels are also a possible cause if they are too low.
