Wes Sutton, Director of Acorn Christian Healing Foundation told us that there is a growing interest in the spiritual aspects of health and healing. Acorn has recently celebrated 40 years. Since the foundation, Acorn has sought to bring health and wholeness to the world. In recent years ten hubs have been established in the UK and four abroad. There are plans for two to be established in Essex. These hubs are places where trained listeners will listen to anyone’s story, possibly for over half an hour, and then pray for them. Training can happen through the Healing academy. This is a year long course with a monthly Saturday morning forum on Zoom. More informal on-line learning is available through the Acorn Lounge and also a two session in-person listening academy course. Wes tackled the difficult questions as to why prayer does not always work. He was very clear that prayer can bring transformation.
