Welcome to Frankie, our Saturday breakfast show host

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

It’s been really difficult to recruit and train new presenters during lockdown, but thanks to the use of remote control computers – and standing two metres away from each other – we’ve managed to find a way.

Which is why I’m delighted to welcome our new Saturday breakfast show presenter, Frankie Taylor, into the Phoenix FM team!

Frankie is used to performing in front of an audience as she sings in Funk2k, a six-piece function band who play a wide variety of music from 60s to the latest chart hits of today – music that she’s reflecting in her new show, Wake Up With Frankie.

She’s replacing Antonia Jones, who presented the early slot for 5 years – and has now moved on to her own new podcast with us, AJ’s Soundbooth.

Our Sunday breakfast presenter, Gareth Williams, has been showing her the ropes –

She’s perfect for Saturday mornings as she always seems to be full of life – exactly what we all need to get ourselves out of bed in the morning, even on Saturdays!

You can hear Frankie on 98.0FM or online at our website phoenixfm.com every Saturday at 7am.
