Special guest Sofia visits our studios all the way from the United States

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

Our Monday evening presenter Andy Gardener has just celebrated four years on air with us and to commemorate this he managed to bag a special live guest for his show all the way from the United States.

Hotly-tipped singer/songwriter Sofia Wolfson was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She’s currently attending a creative writing school in New York and is on a week’s break.

She visited our Brentwood studios last week on her way to seeing friends in London, before heading off to Copenhagen.

Sofia chatted to Andy about her career and played three songs live on air – Donuts (Everyone Reminds Me Of You), View and Nothing’s Real. The first two of these will be on her debut album “Imposing On A Hometown” which is due out later this year.

She is also writing her first novel and her dream is to see that published.

You can hear the interview and live session on phoenixfm.com and find out more about Sofia’s music at linktr.ee/sofiawolfson.
