It was good to finally meet BIRD (Janie Price) award winning, singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, writer and film maker.

Her brand new release SHE’LL TURN TO STONE is out on May 17th and her award winning short film WIDER THAN THE SKY is out 5th June.

She’ll Turn to Stone is a song written for her Mother and it is truly beautiful.

“Wider Than The Sky” is a semi autobiographical short film that explores the impact of childhood. The launch for WIDER THAN THE SKY will be at Manchester and London’s Everyman Cinemas on May 22nd and June 5th, which will be a screening, live performance and Q & A.

ABOUT BIRD

Janie Price aka “Bird” is an award winning half English, half Irish singer/songwriter and multi- instrumentalist. She has released 4 studio albums, “The Insides”, “ Girl and A Cello”, “Figments Of Our Imagination” and ‘Beat”. She started her classical music training on cello aged six and consequently played in UK youth orchestras before beginning her professional career aged 18 with her first recording session composing and recording strings for a UK rap act. Bird’s skill as a classically trained musician, has also led to various successful stints as a session musician and writer; she has composed and recorded string sections for the likes of Just Jack and played live with Brit and Ivor Novello award winning songstress Emeli Sandé.
