Grand Opening of Braintree Mews Care Home

Residents and staff at Braintree Mews Care Home were delighted to celebrate their official grand opening last week.

Friends, loved ones and community members joined residents at Braintree Mews, in Braintree, for an afternoon of delicious food, accompanied by a glass of fizz and live entertainment.

Attendees clapped and cheered after a moving harp performance by Patricia Spero and beautiful classical singing from Cara Bo, both from specialist entertainment company Care Entertainment.

L-R, Scott Reece, Customer Service Manager, 2023-24 Chairman of Braintree District Council, Cllr Diana Garr

Home Manager for Braintree Mews, Alexander Bragg, was thrilled with the success of the event. He said, “I would like to thank everyone for making our grand opening so memorable. To all the businesses, the public, our residents, and their families, without you the event would not have been as amazing as it was.

“The day was a great success, enjoyed by all, and enabled us to showcase ourselves as true leaders in luxury care services for Braintree and the surrounding areas.

“We look forward to continuing our growing success over the coming months and we will be working closely with the whole community to achieve this goal.”

At the time of visit, Chairman of Braintree District Council for 2023/24, Cllr. Diana Garrod, had the privilege of cutting the ribbon and declaring the home officially open.

Cllr. Diana Garrod stated, “I was delighted to officially open the Braintree Mews Care Home alongside Cllr. Walters and receive a tour of the building, as well as meeting the lovely staff and their residents.

“I was particularly pleased to see that additional considerations had been undertaken for residents’ privacy, such as the discreet lockable medical cabinets in each room and a secluded area for a carer to sit whilst a more vulnerable resident takes a bath.

“It is indeed a lovely building with lots of facilities for people to enjoy their twilight years.”

Braintree Mews offers residential, dementia care, and short-term respite care services to the highest standard. The home features 75 ensuite bedrooms, each luxuriously furnished to provide the utmost comfort for residents. The rooms also feature nurse call and information systems, so residents can have total peace of mind they will have access to the support they need, 24/7.
