May update
Dave Woskett, Brentwood Foodbank volunteer provides us with this update:
Good morning to all of our wonderful supporters. We hope that you are all keeping well.
We would like to thank each and every one of you for your continuing support, we couldn’t continue to feed so many local people without you.
Thanks to your help we have had a good response to our recruitment drive and have already taken on some new volunteers.
There is sadly still such a great need by so many people who are needing help with being able to feed themselves and their families. We are seeing new clients every session who feel ashamed and humiliated at having to ask for help. We do our very best to make them welcome and in many cases we can signpost them to other organisations that can help them – for example CAP (for debt); Peabody (for housing and benefit issues).
This is only possible because of your kindness and generosity and we hope and pray that you will still be able to support us.
Kind regards
Dave (Foodbank volunteer)
