This week I was joined over the phone by legendary punk rock drummer John “Eddie” Edwards.
Eddie is best known for being the driving beat behind punk pioneers The Vibrators, who were there from the start and still recording and touring to the present day.
Eddie is the only original member but the seminal line up from punk’s ground zero often get back on stage for one off shows.
In this bumper three and a half hour edition of Blank Generation, Eddie tells me about life in lock-down and recalls those early punk rock stories we all love to hear.
The playlist is all Eddie’s and includes 5 songs he was into before punk, 5 of his own tracks that he is most proud of, and 20 of his favourite records from the 76-80 era.
