The risk of getting dementia increases with age but there are currently around 17,000  people under 65 in the UK suffering from it.

Most forms of dementia can’t be cured although research is continuing into developing drugs vaccines and treatments. To try and delay the onset it is important to look after yourself now. The mediterranean diet is once again proving to be most beneficial in recent surveys in keeping the body fit and healthy and of course a good exercise regime.

Enrich your diet with linseed oil. The omega 3’s help promote a feeling of wellbeing by strengthening the membranes around the body’s cells. It helps to regulate cholesterol, maintain a healthy cardiovascular function and helps the digestive system. When you consider that almost a third of the adult population has high cholesterol, it’s well worth considering as a supplement.
