We’ve been playing out Wild by toni on Phoenix FM recently – but who is she? We caught up with her to find out more about her passion for music.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

My name is toni and I am an independent recording artist from Texas. I was born in Hawaii and have Panamanian roots so I speak Spanish and English. Music has always been a passion for me and up until 2 years ago, thought it would be impossible to record my own music. Luckily I was able to find ways to put myself out there and I’m loving every minute of it!

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

Most of the artists I listened to were the OG Pop stars – Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Ke$ha, Kylie Minogue, etc..

What music have you recorded and released to date?

I have currently recorded and released my debut album consisting of 12 tracks and have released 2 solo singles after, ‘Wild’ being my most recent!

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

I currently listen to modern day pop and hip hop artists such as Kim Petras, Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj, KAROL G, Miley Cyrus, etc..

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

My dream collab has always been, and probably will always be, Kim Petras!

What are your plans for the future?

My plans are to continue releasing music and look into improving my craft over the next few years, i.e. vocal lessons, dance lessons, etc..
