Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

My name is Simona Mire, I am the singer for Nigmael. I was born in Rome, where I was part of a different music project. I have been collaborating with different musicians for this project the last few years.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

I loved to see musicals and TV programmes like “Fame” when I was young which helped me develop my passion, although I did not start singing until I was 13 years old.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

I listened to a variety of different artists from Marvin Gaye to INXS.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

I don’t know how I would describe my music – I just try to make it sound good, with some rock, pop, funky influences … it depends.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

I’ve recorded “Sweet Harmony”, a cover of the Beloved song, which is out now and my next song will be out soon.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

I listen to music that can inspire me at any time – and instrumentals to help me focus.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

I would love to collaborate with Steve Wonder.

What are your plans for the future?

I have plans to play live in the near future.
