Meanwhile at Hampden Park, Celtic won the Scottish Cup for the 42nd time as a late Adam Idah goal gave them a 1-0 win over old rivals.Rangers, and ensured a league and cup double for Brendan Rodgers in the first season of his second spell as manager of the Hoops.
In Cricket, fine performances from Jos Butler and the returning Joffra Archer helped England to victory over Pakistan in the men’s 20Twenty international at Edgbaston, whilst in Rugby Union Toulouse lifted the European Champion’s Cup after extra time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, beating Leinster by 31 points to 22.
