You may have heard us playing out various tracks from Mr Burger on our Rising Stars show, including Back Shots, Bull Rider and Roll Tha Dice – and we caught up with him to find out more about his life and music.

Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

Just a hard worker, I love to network, exercise, travelling, and learning about different cultures.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

I grew up in a music environment, plus town so developing music came pretty easy.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

I listened to a variety, from Paul McCartney to Salt n Pepa, Tupac, Jay Z, Nas, Biggie, Snoop Dogg.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

With my music it’s all about the funk! I try to be different with different styles and genres of music.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

Back Shots was out just last week featuring Tuso, and I am working on a few projects coming soon, when I’m not helping other artists.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

There’s no certain one I listen to, more of a variety, one minute I’ll have country on, rock, to hiphop. I just enjoy music.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

50 cent, Hall & Oates, Taylor Swift, too short I would love to collaborate with…lol
