We’ve been playing out Sensus on our Rising Stars show recently – and we caught up with him to find out a little bit more about his life and music.
When did you first start to develop a passion for music?
I’ve been making music since as early as 8 years old.
Which artists did you listen to while growing up?
Growing up I listened to a wide range of music, from Bob Marley to David Bowie and Depeche Mode, and then later Eminem and Dr Dre in middle school and high school.
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?
I would describe my music as always being different – never truly belonging to one genre.
What music have you recorded and released to date?
I have released several projects in the past under a different name and just started upload under my current name “Sensus”; “If I Went With You” being my first release on all platforms.
Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?
Currently not any single artist influences my music in a large way.
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
My dream collaboration would only be with someone gone who I’d never be able to work with again. XXXTentacion or Pop Smoke come to mind.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to spread positive messages throughout society and the youth and find happiness while doing so.
