Tell us a little bit about your yourself?
My stage name is SuperDupernaut, real name Ryan Rowe; I’m a relatively new musician from Maryland, USA.
When did you first start to develop a passion for music?
I would say I’ve always had a deep passion for music especially, pre-pandemic, seeing about 25 concerts in 2019. However, the drive to start creating my own music recently arose this past year. I’ve always dreamed of being a big influence in the music community, but I had nothing to show for it. Nothing wanting music to become one of those pipe dreams I let myself watch fade away, I challenged myself to just start creating and teaching myself along the way.
This led me to creating my “A Gorgeous Mess” series of albums. AGM is a project of mine to showcase the range of my abilities as I create tracks grabbing from very diverse genres all the way from mellow-indie rock to energetic-electronic house music and everything in between.
Which artists did you listen to while growing up?
Huge inspirations for my work would include French bands Justice, Daft Punk and Caravan Palace, all of which were huge impacts on me growing up.
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?
What music have you recorded and released to date?
Along with my AGM 1-4 series, I have also released a personal favourite “Self-Titled” EP that captures my best genre of psychedelic-trance EDM.
Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?
Some current bands I have been following are synth based-80’s vibe style musicians such as The Midnight, Carpenter Brut, & TWRP. They definitely have an influence on my use of electronic-synthy instruments.
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
A dream collaboration would probably be with the Canadian band TWRP. Those guys seems like a fun group of personas to both create with and learn from.
What are your plans for the future?
Currently, I have my first two collabs releasing both last week and this new track here, and for the future, I have a new EP releasing within the next two months.
