You may have heard us playing PUG’s new track Time To Celebrate – and we had a chat with PUG to find out more about him and his music.

Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

My name is Olson and my stage name is PUG. I love to be creative, play sports, eat good food and have a great time.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

I have always loved music from since I was very young. As I grew older and reached my late teens I started to develop more passion into my own craft.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Buju Banton, Whitney Houston, Luciano, Garnett Silk, Pac, Nas and Snooo just to name a few.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

It’s compelling, inspirational, groovy, fun, uplifting and empowering.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

So far I have recorded Time To Celebrate and released it on November 7, 2020.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

The Marleys, Lauryn Hill, Pac, Big, Nas, Nip to name a few – and yes they do.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

Lauryn Hill.

What are your plans for the future?

Looking forward to releasing more music along with videos.

You can keep an eye on what PUG is up to by following him on Instagram or Twitter.
