We had a special show tonight with Blake Holland and Jacob Turnpenny from Year 6 at Ingatestone & Fryerning C. of E. Junior School. We talked about Red Nose Day in which the school had taken part in an event with 6,000 Essex school children all dancing to Uptown Funk. We had a demonstration in the studio, loved by those watching on the webcam. For the first time on a Friday night we had all the webcams on the website full up with people watching and dancing. They also talked about the importance of Mothering Sunday and saying thank you to their mothers for all the things they do for them. They told us that they both play for Stones F.C. Blake is learning to play guitar and chose the track by Evanessence that he will be playing in the school talent show. They also looked forward to joining their brothers at the Anglo European School in September. They know it is a much bigger school and they will get lots of homework. But they both still have four months left at the Junior school and plan to make the best use of their time. We had many positive comments about their contributions to the show.
There were a number of odd news stories in the second hour. This included a car dealer buying the number plate “25 O” for £520,000. He said it was an investment. Brad said he had met Paul Daniels and his number plate in “MAG1C”. In Italy, football fans visiting Rome and Florence can use their tickets for free visits to art galleries and museums. In Georgia U.S.A. a teenager spent £20,000 mistakenly sent to him by a bank. He has to pay it all back and is on probation for ten years. The bank employee responsible lost her job. In Devon a football match was stopped after 58 seconds due to fog. Why did they start in the first place? A satnav error by the driver of a coach took a group of skiers to Spain instead of the French Alps. When they eventually arrived twenty four hours late, they were greeted with Tapas!
