Boxing Day 10 a.m- 1 p.m. with studio guests Peter & Melina Angeli and Adrian & Jonty McConnaughie.

It was great to be able to present a live show on Boxing Day. Seventeen people had left memories of special Christmases on the showblog and we read them all. (These can be found by scrolling down to the October shows.) Peter told us about the Christmas celebrations at Beckett Keys school, including his playing in the Orchestra. Melina spoke about activities at Ingatestone & Fryerning C. of E. Junior School, including remembering the Christmas truce of 1914. Their parents Julie and Andrew were also encouraged to take part. In the second hour Adrian and Jonty McConnaughie talked about the events at Christmas at Brentwood School. These included a senior citizens party where Jonty was involved. There was a football match to recreate the truce. Of course the team representing the Germans won! They also talked about the services in the chapel. Pupils at Ingatestone Junior school recorded interviews of their hopes for Christmas. We also heard recordings of the children singing. There were also recordings of Ingatestone Parish Church Choir singing at the 9 Lessons and Carols service. It was a busy show, with folks in the chatroom, including Richard and Terry having a lunch party and joining us through their webcam, and e-mailed requests.
