You may have heard us playing We Wish You A Merry Christmas from Ostarè – and we caught up with her to find out a little bit more about her life and music.

Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

Hello, I’m Ostarè — a singer-songwriter, certified life coach, and affectionately known as the “inner child whisperer” by my incredible clients. Let me share a glimpse into my journey.
In 2023, I had the honour of receiving a nomination in the “Women in Music” category from UK Music Week for my chart-topping singles “God Loves a Woman” and “Walls.” This recognition placed me at the pinnacle of the Radio Music Charts. My path involves extensive training with icons like Tony Robbins and Dave Ramsey, unlocking my unique gift—connecting profoundly with the inner child.

Recently, I launched the empowering album “Pray,” complemented by a downloadable empowerment booklet on my website. Excitingly, March 2024 will see me grace the stage at Carnegie Hall, a journey made possible by the incredible composer, Travis Cottrell, and his Orchestra.

Sharing the stage with legends like Mickey Stevenson and worshiping alongside Christian icons such as Michael W Smith, Travis Cottrell, and Michael Tait has been a dream come true. Surrendering to God’s calling, I embrace the new path laid before me.

As a volunteer event leader for a nonprofit organization, I host transformative online events. Additionally, you’ll find me lending my voice to the musical community, now at Brentwood Baptist Church community along with St. Paul Methodist Church.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

I was born singing and dancing, lol. Technically, since I was a child, I would walk as if I hear the music and bounce. I started writing songs as early as I could spell A. B.C lol. It was just in me. Music was my life force in overcoming the dark moments of life.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

I always like a variety of music, from indie artists, local folks singing and church music. Later on, I was introduced to the main stream music artists and classical music. I loved dance music and anything that can set fire on the dance floor.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

I uniquely blend my love for music, coaching skills, and inner child connection, creating a healing musical experience. With a divine calling, my music targets emotional blockages, offering listeners freedom and empowerment. Carefully crafted to ignite the champion within, I merge live instruments with electronic drums, collaborating with producers who understand the power of frequencies.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

I’ve released chart-topping singles like “Show’em What You’ve Got” and “Walls,” both hitting N 1 on the USA and UK music charts. “Deep Down” and “God Loves a Woman” followed, securing top 5 spots. The full-length album “Pray” and the recent holiday single “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” spread cheer. Anticipate more fantastic music next year, including a mix of Frenglish tracks. Grateful for collaborations with amazing artists, musicians, and producers. Stay tuned!

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

Recently, I have been listening more to classical music, Christian artists and just focusing on building my coaching business and expanding my horizons in music. I also listen to indie pop music and keep an eye on European indie artists as I like raw creativity.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

I am very open to collaborations. I trust God will bring the right people. My priority is the message of “healing the inner-child”.

What are your plans for the future?

Focusing on helping as many people as possible heal their inner child and release the emotional traumas from childhood that impact our daily lives, often without our awareness. Building my coaching business is a priority, along with releasing more music to support my mission because, as I believe, music heals the soul.
