You may have heard us playing out Sami the Collector recently – but who is Sami? We caught up with him to find out.

Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

I am 29 years old and a father of 5. I am the owner of a video game bar In Indianapolis, Indiana.

I love anime and video games . And I collect video games statues and figures.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

I began teaching myself to sing when I was 16 years old.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

Growing up I really loved listening to artists such as, Usher, Lloyd and Neyo.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

My music is a fusion of Pop and R&B with a splash of Sean Garret.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

I recently released two songs as a preview to my upcoming EP. More of U was out in January of this year and I just recently debuted This Girl.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

I actually still listen to Lloyd often, and a lot of the inspiration for my vocal range comes from him.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

My dream collaboration would be getting on a track with Drake.

What are your plans for the future?

My plan for the future is to be known for my music. Nothing would make me happier than seeing people singing my songs along with me in concert.
