You may have heard us playlisting Eyes from Psychedelic Revolution – but who is he? We caught up with him to find out …
Tell us a little bit about your yourself?
I’m an Australian who resides in the east. Music obsessed. Sing and play guitar and a few other instruments. Personality wise I’m witty and chill.
When did you first start to develop a passion for music?
When I was 6 and attending guitar classes.
Which artists did you listen to while growing up?
As a kid, The Beatles. As a teen, Guns N’ Roses and Prince. In university, the bands from Seattle (Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains).
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?
Soulful melodies and groove.
What music have you recorded and released to date?
The music you’re hearing is from the first album with a band. Now I’m doing it all by myself and it’s shifted more to R&B and soul. The EP after this I was lucky enough to work with grammy award winning mixer Warren Riker. So altogether, I’ve released 2 albums before.
Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?
Lake Street Dive, Vulfpeck, Black Pumas from the new artists. They do influence the work sometimes in terms of instrumentation. An organ here and there.
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
I’m open to collaborate with any singer songwriters or any other instrumentalists.
What are your plans for the future?
Music and more music. Finishing up latest EP at the moment. So mixing that and hopefully touring again.
