Artist Feature: Francis Groove

We’ve been giving Francis Groove’s latest track “Can’t Wait” a lot of airplay on Phoenix FM recently – and we caught up with the artist to talk about his love of music and his inspirations.

Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

I was born in Belgium and went to New York at the age of 19. I went clubbing there and decided that I wanted to express myself and become a DJ/producer like David Morales.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

I listened to AC/DC, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Elvis and Depeche Mode.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

I’ve released quite a few tracks which you can find on Spotify. Can’t Wait is my current track, which was released on September 9.

How would you describe your sound?

My music is the reflection of what I see around me.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment?

Post Malone, Cassius, Tlove, Ama and Tony G, amongst others.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

I would love to do a remix with the vocals of Edith Piaf, a famous French singer who is sadly no longer alive.

What are your plans for the future?

In one word .. expansion!

Can’t Wait is out now – and you can find out more about Francis on Spotify, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
