The first Brentwood Firewalk took place at the Brentwood Centre tonight and it was a great success, with 85 firewalkers raising over £16,500 for local charities.
The event is the brainchild of Jane Bennett from Bennetts Funeral Directors and has been six months in planning, with a number of people involved including Chris Froebel from Bennetts, Ben Lacey and Steve Dunstone from Phoenix FM and Mary Hill from the Frontline Partnership amongst others. A big thank you as well to Bird Luckin Chartered Accountants, who sponsored the event.
A number of charities and walkers spoke to us during the event and we will be putting up a special programme shortly – keep tuned to Phoenix FM for more details.
