On SATURDAY APRIL 20TH., there will be a ‘CALL MY BLUFF’ evening in Navestock village hall (CM145SD) to raise some much needed funds for Brentwood and Billericay’s local radio station PHOENIX 98FM.
For those who have not been to one of my ‘Call my bluff’ evenings before, this is how it works: There will be 2 teams of 3 and each person will be given a card to read bearing a very unusual word together with a possible definition.
Only one definition will be correct and it will then be the task of the opposing team to interrogate and try to guess which is the correct definition.
Before the correct answer is revealed, it is opened up to the audience to vote on which they believe is the correct definition.
The evening will be loads of fun and educational as well ! Pit your wits against the teams to see if you can unravel the truth from the convincing lies !
To help the evening along there will be delicious hot chicken and chips delivered (or an alternative for vegetarians/vegans) as well as teas and coffees. You are welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks and glasses if you wish.
There will also be a prize raffle and any donations would be gratefully received.
I promise to have some interesting team members, with the knack of spinning a yarn to get you as confused as possible !
