Friday Night Extra 25.7.14 Summer chill

On a very warm evening in Brentwood it was good to chill in the air-conditioned studio tonight. We had a laid-back music mix, together with requests via e-mail and the chatroom. Our stories included the fact that it had been 35 degrees on the London Underground when the legal limit for transporting animals is 30 degrees. We heard about a cafe in Ireland banning “Loud Americans” and we had no response from our American listeners. I hope they did not go off in a huff! We also heard that when the Tokyo Olympics of 2020 are held, Japan plans to host a robot Olympics as well. There was also the memorial tree in Los Angeles planted for George Harrison killed by an infestation of beetles and that the coffee served in Glasgow was the strongest in the world. It was good to see Ian who had been the guest last week tun up at the studio after the show and say how much he had enjoyed tonight’s offering.
