Friday Night Extra 31.1.14 Singing in the rain

No guests tonight so we had a very eclectic choice of music, influenced by Lee, Rene and Anna in Devon in the chatroom. We also had a mix of odd news stories. The woman in China who had saved all her hair when she had it cut and had made it into a jumper and hat for herself and was now making a hat for her husband. There was also a German lottery winner who, after five glasses of champagne became enraged at a bill from a care home and cut up £300,000 and flushed it down the toilet, or did she? We pondered around the morality of an Austrian charity worker who having been moved by the plight of starving children in Africa following a visit, organised a robbery of money from shops selling expensive Christmas gifts. He had also anonymously pushed money through the letter boxes of those he knew who were financially hard up. We wished we lived in a fairer world. We also heard about an American invention of a book where pages are fitted with sensors that send vibrations to a vest worn by the reader to convey feelings connected with the narrative. Anna was particularly unhappy with this as she likes murder mysteries!
