Alasdair MacKay, writer and director of Anonymous the film told us how inspiration for the film came when just before lockdown in March he had seen a man buying an enormous amount of alcohol in a shop. For sometime he had the idea of making a film about addiction and this was the spur. The film was written during lockdown and the finances, casting and decisions on the location all happened at an amazing speed. This had enabled the film to be made during the period between the two lockdowns. It was now with the editor and Alastair hoped for a release through festivals in January 2021. The film focuses on one day in the life of a man trying to deal with his addiction. It is filmed in real time. More information and a shop to buy merchandise can be accessed via Instagram @anonymous_the_film and on Facebook. The film has charity partners and 15% of profits on the merchandise will go to them.
