It’s getting to feel a bit like Christmas

We learnt today of an unwanted additive that ended up in a top brand of Chinese beer.

The beer in question now has a very distinctive and unusual flavour after a man was caught on CCTV urinating into a vat at a Tsingtao beer factory.

Tsingtao describes itself as the sixth-largest global beer maker and is naturally disquieted by the contents of the video, as no doubt, will be potential consumers of the product!

For now the batch of malt in question has been completely sealed.

Nevertheless the incident resulted in shares of Tsingtao on the Shanghai Stock market dropping by 1% on Friday and 7.5% by Monday morning.

It has since been established that the man starring in the footage is not a Tsingtao employee, but a loader hired by a third-party labour supplier.

One user of WEIBO is quoted as saying, “”I’ve always said the beer here is like horse pee, adding Turns out I was wrong.”

We also heard today about a request that one of the major charities has felt obliged to make concerning the kind of donations being provided by the public.

In a social media post, one of the Barnardo’s branches in Swansea, was keen to remind people that they are a children’s charity employing a volunteer team with a range of ages.

As such they have felt it necessary to ask that people to refrain from donating used and unused ‘marital aids’.

Customers were also reminded that the branch has CCTV, “so that these items can be traced back to their owners”.

A spokesperson for Barnardo’s said the charity was “always hugely appreciative of donations from the community”.

“But it’s fair to say that some of these items aren’t quite the sort of toys we’re looking for,” they added.

“This winter, frontline staff at Barnardo’s will be helping struggling children and families across Wales by providing them with essential items like food and clothing.

“The money raised from our shops helps us to carry on this vital work – so please do donate any clothing or children’s toys you can to your local Barnardo’s store.”

It’s hard to know what else to say about this!

Hope to see you again tomorrow,
Scott
