The Arts Programme – 180 – Local Girls Have Brains & Gumption!

This week we were joined in the studio by Local Girl Productions.

Who came to tell us more about their journey to becoming a theatre troupe of local women 30 strong ready for their Autumn show at Brentwood Theatre ‘Sometime, Soon‘.

We spoke about how the production came from a treasured story of a cast member’s mum to a production team spanning ages from 8 to 80!

And then we had a laugh with our ‘speak like a pirate day’ interlude – playing tunes from Pirates of The Caribbean and Spongebob Squarepants The Musical.

Of  course we also discussed the things we have been up to and what you could get up to in the area. Remember, if you have a young person looking to make some MERCH – send them over to the Hope Cafe in Romford next Tuesday. Book here.

Listen again to The Arts Programme with Natalie and Claire…
