The Arts Programme – 170 – LGBTQ [ I-CONS ] A+

Its the last week of PRIDE month, so this week we take a step into LGBTQIA+ I-CONS!

We look as far back to the 1700’s When Princess Serophina was making a name for her self to I-CONS of the art world and high society including the very quotable Oscar Wilde & RuPaul!

We also talk about our top LGBTQIA+ podcasts, including comedies, family support programmes and history listens.

There is the usual thematic playlist, and this week we listen to the first non-binary person to win a ‘Tony’ award in Charlotte’s musical choice ‘Shucked’; there is of course a little bit of Glastonbury headliner Elton John and an extra large helping of Miley Cyrus!

We also covered all of the cultural events happening locally, plus PRIDE London. Don’t forget to book tickets to see WHAM the documentary this week and make a visit to Queer Britain to finalise the month of celebrations.

Listen again to The Arts Programme with Natalie and Claire.
