Smiling DJ is one-man Boston Dee party

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

It’s not often we get someone who’s travelled all the way over from Boston – the United States version, not the Lincolnshire one – but we did this week.

Dee Kimble has had a long and varied career as an MC and stand-up comedian, and has also acted and presented radio shows too. He’s performed at comedy clubs, colleges, community theatres and radio stations.

Today Dee is a full time DJ, songwriter and music producer with a great love and appreciation for all people, all cultures and all types of music. And an all-round lovely guy too!

Dee chatted to Georgia Frampton about his life in entertainment and you can hear it again on the Phoenix FM website at www.phoenixfm.com.

* Phoenix FM will be holding a fundraising Race Night at Shenfield Cricket Club on Friday 25th October. For more details call Steve Roach on 07952 498009.

* We’ve got lots more guests on air over the next seven days. General Manager Vicki Read and Client Liaison Manager Sommer Turner will be talking about the latest news and events from The Beeches care and Kate Peters and Gary Crooks will be chatting about low-carbon funding programme LoCASE with Michelle Ward on Eat My Brunch.

* We will also have live music in the studio from Okuri Okami, Arfur Doo and the Toerags and Jess Packard-White.
