Clapton 1 Redbridge 4

Redbridge climbed three places to 13^th after they netted a third 4-1 win in four games to thrash The Tons at The Old Spotted Dog.  Conor Okus, Petrit Elbi, Taylor Tombides and Dan Gilchrist all netted for the Motormen, whilst Andy Greenslade scored Clapton’s solitary goal.  Defeat for the hosts, who had won three in five, sees them down in 12^th

Hullbridge Sports 1 Hoddesdon Town 0

Adebola Sotoyinbo netted the only goal of the game as Hullbridge kept tabs with leaders Stansted with victory over Hoddesdon Town at Lower Road.  The winning moment came just before the half-hour mark when Sotoyinbo headed home a Homans cushioned cross, and it means the hosts remain four points behind the leaders with those two games still in hand.  Hoddesdon remain in 9th.

Ilford 0 Enfield 0

There were no goals at Cricklefield as Ilford and Enfield could not breach each other’s defences, meaning The Foxes remain in 10th, one point and place above their opponents who are 11^th.

Leyton Athletic 2 West Essex 2

Hosts Leyton Athletic grabbed an unlikely point after fighting back from two goals down late on to salvage a point at home to West Essex.  It looked as though the visitors were heading for all three points when Callum Bloss slotted home a spot-kick in the 63^rd minute before Izzy Ogedi-Uzokwe doubled that lead with eleven minutes remaining, converting a rebound after Maajid Abow’s effort had crashed off the crossbar.  But late goals from Okwute Izuchukwu and Santana Porter saw the hosts rescue a point. Despite this Leyton Athletic do fall to the foot of the table, two points behind Barkingside and ten behind Southend Manor, whilst West Essex are now 15^th.

Sawbridgeworth Town 1 Saffron Walden Town 1

The Robins almost pulled off a surprise result against local rivals Saffron Walden Town but the visitors did manage a late leveller to take a share of the spoils here.  Daryl Doolan’s 8th minute strike saw the hosts lead for most of the contest, but Lewis Francis then grabbed an 88^th minute equaliser to see the game end all square.  Sawbo are now in 16^th whilst the point for The Bloods sees them lose ground on the top two as they remain in 3rd.

St Margaretsbury 1 Barkingside 3

Side are off the bottom of the table after they claimed a stunning win at The Recreation Ground against an in-form St Margaretsbury side.  James Ross, Derek O’Halem and Elliott Scott grabbed the goals for the visitors who are now eight points behind third bottom Manor with a game in hand, and now two points ahead of bottom side Leyton Athletic.  For the hosts it was an off day today and they slip a place to 7th.

Stansted 4 Southend Manor 1

James Peagram netted a brace of penalties as his side comfortably saw off Southend Manor at Hargrave Park to maintain their four-point lead at the top.  Peagram netted his first spot-kick after just three minutes, and then Billy Coyne struck home a superb free-kick in the 17^th minute to double the home sides lead.  Mohamed Kargo did then pull a goal back for the visitors on the half-hour mark but Callum Ibe restored Stansted’s two-goal cushion twelve minutes into the second period.  And with seventeen minutes left Peagram netted another spot-kick to make it 4-1 to the hosts.  Manor did have the chance to pull a goal back near the end but saw their penalty saved by Charlie Turner, and defeat sees Manor remain third bottom, eight points ahead of second bottom Barkingside having played a game more.

Stanway Rovers 1 Walthamstow 2

Dwade James netted a brace late on to see Stow come from behind against Stanway Rovers to take all three points at The Hawthorns.  Stow missed countless chances to take the lead before Rovers popped up to take the lead themselves midway through the second period when Tommy Spillane volleyed home a corner from close range, but with eleven minutes left the visitors were awarded a dubious penalty for handball, which James converted, and then with four minutes left there was more controversy as after the ball appeared to hit James on the hand, he carried on to slot home the winner.  The hosts were furious but the visitors probably deserved it on the balance of play throughout, and it means Stow remain in the promotion hunt, just, as they climb into 4th, whilst Stanway are now in 14^th.

Takeley 2 Sporting Bengal United 3

Sporting Bengal United put a huge spanner in the promotion works of hosts Takeley by netting a stunning win at Station Road.  The visitors took the lead when a great ball over the top by Steve Carvell saw Curtley McIntosh run onto it before producing a lovely dink over the keeper, and it was two when McIntosh netted again, firing a brilliant effort into the top corner.  The stunned hosts then responded with a stunner of their own through Mitchell Das but McIntosh then completed a first half hat-trick with a brilliant finish across the keeper to restore Bengal’s two-goal cushion.  Sadly for Sporting their keeper Richie Robins had to come off at half-time meaning Freddy Tandon had to ‘don the gloves’ for the entire second period, but apart from a Nick Barrett penalty fifteen minutes from time it went well for the visitors who took the victory which sees them equal their best ever points tally in a league season.  As for Takeley, they slip a place to 5th after this result, and loose further ground on the top two as a result.

Tower Hamlets 1 Woodford Town 2

Woodford Town managed to see off a late comeback from the hosts to take all three points at Mile End against Tower Hamlets.  Asher Modeste’s goals had Town two-goals to the good, but tempers flared late on and saw the visitors reduced to ten-men, and Hamlets also pulled a goal back through Flavio Jumo to set-up a frantic last few minutes.  But the visitors managed to hold on and claim the spoils, seeing them remain sixth, whilst Hamlets stay fourth bottom.
