Phoenix welcomes new presenter

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

We’ve been going through a few personnel changes at Phoenix FM over the last few weeks, including a big change during our primetime broadcasting.

We’ve sadly lost Stuart Jay from Drivetime but we have a great new presenter in the form of Ian Leigh, who has taken over from this week.

Ian has broadcast on a number of community radio stations including BRFM in Kent and the now-defunct Link FM in Harold Hill, where he used to share schedule time with our Friday afternoon presenter Mike Jones.

Drive is host to a number of regular interview guests, including Anita McCarthy from Saint Francis Hospice, and also Mark Searby who reviews new movies and DVD releases every Friday afternoon.

We hope you’ll join Ian on your travels home each weekday! He’s on air from 3pm to 6pm and you can find out more about his guests and interviews at phoenixfm.com.

** Guests coming up in the next week include Jessica Tettey and Sommer Turner from The Beeches care home, and Brian Hughes from Shenfield solicitors Rainer Hughes.

** Amelia Bright will be talking about Cancer Research UK’s Relay For Life with Michelle Ward on Eat My Brunch.

** There will also be live music in the studio from Elizabeth De Branson on The Sunday Sessions.
