Friday Night Extra 28.9.18 Great TV themes…and more.

Today was Mike Post’s birthday. He is a multi Grammy and Emmy winning composer, best know for come classic American TV themes. We listened to Hill Street Blues and L.A. Law. Chas Hodges passed away this week. Chas and Dave opened for Led Zeppelin at the 1979 Knebworth Festival. Among their recordings are 5 songs supporting their local football club, Tottenham Hot Spurs. We played the most successful, a no.5 from 1981, Spurs are on their way to Wembley. That year Spurs won the cup. Maybe 2019? We also lost Al Matthews. A US marine who fought in Vietnam, he is best known as Sergeant Apone in Alien (1986). He was a DJ on Radio 1 and Capital. He also had a 1975 no 14 in the UK with Fool.
