Friday Night Extra 23.3.18 With Chris, running in the Brighton Marathon

I was joined on the phone by Chris who is running in the Brighton Marathon, raising money for the Red Cross. She has never in a marathon before and said that this would be the first and last time. She is running with two colleagues from Westbourne Primary School, Rob Lane and Dara O’Reilly. The School’s Council, a group of pupils, chose the charity, the Red Cross. The target is to raise £3,000. Money can be gifted via the Red Cross website. There is also a Just Giving site

Chris promised to tell us how she got on after the run.

We had three exclusive tracks tonight, giving them first radio plays.

The Goodbye Look – Eye to eye – classic jazz/rock sound with a contemporary edge

Sophie Griffiths –  All I want – a soulful rendition

Lisa Harman – It takes a man to try – chosen by birthday girl Lisa, celebrating today in Singapore.

Tonight’s playlist

Billy Joel – Innocent man

Spencer David Group – Keep on running – for Chris, Dara and Rob

Elvis Presley – Good luck charm – requested by Phyl

Ward Thomas – Good on you – for Alison who always checks out the recording
