First up tonight, I was joined in the studio by Danfest organisers David Pankhurst and Shelly Morris (pictured with sons Danfest Dan, front, and Louee). Riding on the success of the original event a year ago, the second Danfest is taking place on Saturday 2nd August at the Crooked Billet in Stanford-le-Hope. Pure DC headline the event, while there’s also sets from Minerva Falls, High/Low, Sabiba and many more, and with face painting and a bouncy castle to boot, it’s set to be a great day for all the family. There’s a great cause to support on the day as well, with all profits from the event going to the National Autistic Society. Find out more on the event, and how to make a donation, on the event’s official Facebook page.

Next up I was joined by locals Osmium Guillotine (l-r James, Pete, Dan). The foursome (also featuring guitarist Lance) have just released their debut self-titled album, from which we heard a few tracks. They can next be seen live at the Gunners Pub in London on August 9th, and the album is available from their website www.osmiumguillotine.com. The band can also be found on Facebook and Twitter.
