Following the furore in the media Brentwood First Councillor Russell Quirk came into the studio to explain the context and reasons behind his recent leaked email which stated that “The prospect of sharing such time and space with Conservative members of the panel is akin to a daytrip with Fred West and Ian Brady”.
In a open and frank interview Russell apologised unreservedly for the comments and talked about the current unrest in the chamber as well as what’s in his postbag and the good work that’s also being done but not attracting media attention.
