Straight back from a few days holiday and what’s happened to summer?
Well never mind, on today’s show we were transported temporarily to the sunshine and warmth, where in the midst of a presidential election, a coconut has been taken into police custody in the midst of a vote rigging scandal. It seems that allegations have been made suggesting that the coconut has been the subject of some form of black magic ritual aimed at preventing people from voting or influence their choice of candidate. It seems that some school authorities are resisting pressure to allow their buildings to be used as polling stations, citing earlier problems “caused by magic”. Meanwhile the electoral commission has sought to allay fears, saying that they would accept full responsibility “if anyone falls under a spell or comes down ill”.
In the second hour of the show we came under the spell of Frances Clamp who returned to tell us all about the links between EVELYN HESELTINE and St Mary’s Church in Great Warley. Listen again here to what Frances had to tell me:- Bygones 10th September
OK. That’s me done for another week – see you again next week.
