With 800 people in the choir, Funky Voices certainly do have a range of voices in their midsts. But when brought all together by the direction of Sandra Colston they make, as Sandra describes ‘a wall of sound’ which will blow you away! With some members performing at the Brentwood Festival, not only were the harmonies faultless, the song choices were spot on mixing old with the new and there was also audience participation! Sandra’s big personality is captivating and will not fail to put a smile on the viewers face.

With a weekly rehearsal and trips abroad to perform no wonder the members of Funky Voices get such a thrill from being part of the choir! At the festival I joined Sandra and some members of the Brentwood group backstage to talk about what is it like being in Funky Voices.
