How about One for the road?

Being a Tuesday I was once again joined by my BYGONES mentor, Frances Clamp, but more of that anon.

In the first hour of today’s show we heard about a very unusual case of drink driving involving a woman driver from Montana who actually called the police herself to alert them toher condition. Why you may ask did she adopt this unusual tactic? Well it seems that having consumed a pint of vodka, and somehow driving home, that in spite of struggling for more than 4 hours she was unable to get out of her vehicle. Unsurprisingly after being freed from the vehicle, she is no longer free, but once again behind bars – ones that don’t serve liquor.

Scarecrow

Coming closer to home Oxfordshire police were called following reports that a man was stuck headfirst in a quagmire outside the village pub. It seems that they were less than amused when it turned out that the distressed man was no more than the village entry for a charity scarecrow competition!

But now back to Frances Clamp. A couple of weeks ago Frances took us on a trip down Brook Street in Marygreen ManorBrentwood, only to leave us at the door of Mary Green Manor. Well today she took us inside. You can listen again here to what Frances told me: –Bygones 15th October

Right – see you again next week.

All the best,

Scott
