Not for the fainthearted…

Early Doors Productions 12 10 13

Listen here:Feelgood Saturday 12 10 13 Early Doors Productions

Amy Clayton – co-founder of the excellent local theatre group Early Doors Productions – dropped by this morning, along with virtually the entire cast of their latest production, Dracula. Despite being a very young company, having staged their first work in 2011, Early Doors seem to be getting more ambitious with each new venture, and Amy described the reward of constantly pushing new boundaries.

draculaEarly Doors will be continuing to explore adult themes with their next production, Trainspotting, which they’ll be staging in March; Amy explained that they’re in the process of casting, and would love to hear from anyone who’d like to audition. Previous acting experience isn’t vital, although the ability to keep up a convincing Edinburgh accent is!

Dracula isn’t for the fainthearted, and due to language, content and nudity it is advised only for over 18s. It’s being performed in the atmospheric setting of Ingatestone Hall between Thursday 31 October and Saturday 2 November, although tickets for the Friday and Saturday performances have sold out. To book tickets, which are £14 – or if you’d like to be considered for Trainspotting – email early.doors@hotmail.co.uk.
