Today’s show included a recent track which samples Dario G’s late 90s anthem Sunchyme which, itself, drew from a one hit wonder from 1985. I think it’s a tribute to Nick Laird-Clowes and Gilbert Gabriel – the members of Dream Academy credited with co-writing Life in a Northern town – that their catchy hook is still being used!

And as well as a stack of other perennial favourites even I remembered the time of year with a rather impressive Christmas mash-up from Phoenix Phoenix FM favourite Leanne Louise!
