As well as perennial favourites from the likes of N-Trance and Sophie B Hawkins I dug out a few tracks for this show that seem to have fallen by the wayside. Amongst them were Believer, by the Freemasons (named after the Brighton pub they frequented) and Wynter Gordon, which inexplicably passed me by when it was released in 2010; and, from the following year, Crew Love – a collaboration by (now, if not then) two of the biggest names in the business – Drake and the Weeknd.
Hopefully the show included some future classics too, notably perhaps Nathan Dawe’s latest song, released on Friday, which he has credited his fans with helping to develop after he released a rough clip on Tik Tok. Nathan says it’s about making the most of our time here on Earth, with the message in the song’s title – we ain’t here for long!
