Essex charity Cool To Be Kind came down to our studios last week for the launch of this year’s Rucksack Project.

The charity’s co-founder Brian McGovern came in to chat to Stewart Pink live on our daily One 2 Three lunchtime show.

Cool To Be Kind are a Chelmsford based community project that supports rough sleepers in and around Essex. The Rucksack Project is an initiative to collect and distribute essential items to rough sleepers in order to make the winter months a little more comfortable for homeless people.

Stewart talked about the impact the charity makes on our local streets and also how people can help – while donations can be made all year round, any coming in the winter months are particularly essential given the cold weather conditions.
