Tonight I was joined in the studio by Bruce and Tranunki Thompson from 035 Promotions, who are holding their second major gig this coming Friday at Chinnery’s in Southend. The duo already have 2 further gigs in Essex and London confirmed for March and June, with more dates to be announced soon. We also heard from the 4 bands playing on the night – ever-reliable Southend rockers HOBO, Opensight whose metal sound boosts a distinct cinematic influence, the theatrical heavyweights Donkerkarnuffel, and finally the headline act Concrete Age, whose brand of ‘ethnic’ metal features a wide variety of musical styles and influences rarely heard in the genre. It’s set to be a great night and 035 Promotions will definitely be one to watch in the future – and they’re looking out for performers for their next few events so get in touch if you want a piece of the action!
