Curveballs 5th June 2024 (with Reverent Son, Metal2TheMasses, & Southend Airport M&B Festival)

This week had “more going on than I can post here”, as I put it on social media…

First up tonight I was joined in the studio once again by Reverent Son just ahead of their performance at the Metal2TheMasses Essex final at Coda Colchester – an event we also discussed with two of the main organisers, Ian Manning in the studio and Peace Productions’ Josh Abbott. The winner will get a slot at Bloodstock Festival in August, and we heard a track from last year’s winners, Arms To Oblivion, who’ll be doing a guest slot at the Essex final. Reverent Son are also working on new material which will be out soon – head here for their latest updates, meanwhile find out more on Metal2TheMasses here.

Next up it was Luke & Jamie from the Vulcan Beer & Music Festival, which is taking place at a most unusual location – an airport. London Southend Airport to be precise, on August 2nd and 3rd, with some great local talent on the bill, including Curveballs buddies The Long Run and Scully Ward, and we heard more of the line-up being revealed for the first time. Find out more about the festival and the Vulcan here. We also heard 2 new tracks from Luke’s band Brave The Day – find out more on them here.
