Every Wednesday in the layby in front of the library in Chelmsford food, hot meals and clothes and a listening ear are available to those in need. Three types of bags of essential items are also provided.
Breakfast bags, Hygiene bags and Tea & Coffee bags. 20 – 25 bags are given out each week, around 100 a month. Each breakfast bag contains 7 breakfast bars, 2 packs of biscuits, 1 juice, 2 chocolate bars, 2 dried fruit, sweets and 1 polos. These are just an example of some of the items needed. And of course carrier bags are needed.
