This week Claire probably mentioned Madeira too many times through the show.
However it did influence the theme of Christmas traditions from the island of Madeira. We also had a run down of some of the pantos (oh no we didn’t! Oh yes we did!) where you can go and get your Christmas fix of joy and laughter this year. And Claire gave us a list of crime books to read this Christmas. Because we do like to read crime at this festive time, probably because it give us a different perspective from the sugary nature of a lot of festive celebrations. Have you noticed the soap operas often give us an explosion, murder or disaster at Christmas too?
As well as all the events and fayres happening in Essex and beyond, news from the creative sector of course we heard banging wintry tunes like Fox in the Snow, Belle & Sebastian, Twenty-one Pilots Christmas saves the year, the Smashing Pumpkins Christmastime and many more. And I promised you a picture of a nativity scene in Madeira….so here it is!
