Watch out for PSTN cold callers

Please be aware of cold callers claiming to be BT or other telephone companies scaring you into signing new contracts quickly to replace your old PSTN services.

Yes, it is true that the PSTN network is becoming end of life, but you do have time enough to look at the options and make sure you only sign a new contract that adds value to your business, or you personally and is both cost-effective and ethical.

The end of the old copper network takes place in 2025 with some areas seeing their services terminating sometime before that.

There are 16 million lines to be replaced, so you certainly don’t want to be at the back of the queue, so do start planning now, and the sooner you make the change, the better, as long as you get it right!

If you want to understand the options and get a quote to change your services in a safe and affordable manner, get in touch with the KJL Group and see how we can assist in a low-pressure and professional manner.

Organisations need to act soonest, as any change may need to consider the terms and conditions of their existing contracts and time may be required to allow for old contracts to end before you can change, but again, we can provide information and help you plan for a future date to suit and ensure there is no downtime or business interruption.

Even if you are a house holder with a normal home landline phone, you will still be affected and will need a phone that will work through your internet connection, and if you don’t have that, you will need it to continue making and receiving landline calls, once the big switch off has taken place.

Don’t worry though, the cost to set this up for you is very affordable and again KJL will be rolling out home user solutions for a new line and VOIP phone later this year, so feel free to get in touch and register an interest in this and you will be at the front of the queue when we start the roll out.

For those of you who love your current Landline Telephone handsets, we can even convert them to work with the new internet based service for you.

KJL is a trusted Internet Service Provider (ISP), so our customers only ever deal with our own friendly UK based support and accounts teams in Basildon, which are available to help you with any queries you may have with service and billing etc.
