A Night of Generosity

The Brentwood School Auditorium was transformed into a haven of sophistication on Thursday 30th September, as 180 guests for an unforgettable ‘Beat the Bluffers’ Wine and Cheese Event in support of the Essex-based charity SNAP (Special Needs and Parents). The event, hosted in association with Essex based Property Group Beresfords, Shenfield Wines, Brentwood School and Lady Penelope Wines proved to be a resounding success, not only in terms of attendance but also in the remarkable funds raised for the charitable cause.

The prestigious Brentwood School set the stage for an evening of fine wines where guests were put to the test to see if their pallet could ‘beat the wine bluffers on stage’. Attendees, including senior representatives’ prominent local companies (Tees Law, Handelsbanken Matchroom to name but a few), came together to support the vital work carried out by SNAP in providing much-needed assistance to families with special needs children.

Beresfords Director of Marketing and Business Development Nicki Treffers also hosted an auction and raffle, with a curated list of items, including a holiday in the Cotswolds donated by Countryside Breaks. The generosity of the bidders and donors was truly remarkable, reflecting a shared commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those supported by SNAP.

Nicki Treffers commented: “The evening raised an impressive incredible amount of money which is a testament to the kindness and generosity of our community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and contributed, as well as our sincere thanks to Shenfield Wines, Lady Penelope Wines and of course Brentwood School whose support made this event possible.”

SNAP, the chosen beneficiary of the event, expressed their appreciation for the community’s support. SNAP CEO Karen Boath Said: “The Corporate Wine Night was an amazing success, and we are completely blown away by the amount raised.  We are extremely grateful to the team at Beresfords for making this night possible and for the ongoing support they are giving to SNAP.  We have registered 635 new families this year so far and are currently supporting over 4,200 families across Essex and we want to make sure we can continue to offer the gold star service to our families, this is only possible with the support we get from organisations like Beresfords.”

Funds raised will directly contribute to the organization’s mission of providing support, information, and advice for families with special needs children in Essex.
